Last week, Sheriff Construction was delighted to be presented with a trophy as the winner of the January 2024 IKO Contractor Recognition Award for our roofing projects at the former Ford HQ in Brentwood and Epping Gate.

This is the second time Sheriff has been recognised by IKO, having been ‘Highly Commended’ in relation to our roofing works in Charlton back in 2021. Find out more in this week’s blog.

Recognition for our work

After being told Sheriff Construction had won the January 2024 IKO Contractor Recognition Award earlier this month, several members of our team were officially presented with the award by IKO’s Group Managing Director, Anthony Carlyle and Area Business Manager, Chris McCann on Thursday 22nd February.

This award especially recognises Sheriff’s work at the former Ford HQ in Brentwood and Epping Gate. Both projects have involved Sheriff in the installation of all waterproofing works and roof finishes, using several IKO products. Additionally, IKO praised the way Sheriff continues to offer support for local communities.

In our official notification of the award, IKO said:

“The quality of the projects at the former Ford HQ and at Epping Gate are very impressive. The high standard of workmanship, incorporating the use of our Armourplan Single Ply and Permatec Hot Melt, as well as the Blue Roof element on the Epping Gate scheme, coupled with your continued support for local grass roots football, made for an excellent overall submission.”

On top of being given this award, we’ve been invited to the next IKO Contractor Awards ceremony in April where Sheriff will be in with a chance of winning the overall IKO Contractors Recognition Award (fingers crossed!).

Managing Director at Sheriff Construction, Ekrem Mahmutaj, said:

“It’s wonderful for our company to be given recognition like this once again. This achievement is a true testament to the excellent work Sheriff’s teams have put into these projects and so I want everyone that’s been involved, from the pre-selection meeting to the installation of the works, to know the award belongs to them all. We thank IKO for their ongoing support and look forward to our continued excellent partnership in future years.”
