Did you know? Sheriff’s story is bigger than you may think

Many people know the Sheriff name for our expertise in delivering roofing, waterproofing and brickwork contracts across London and the South East of England but did you know our business has grown into a wider group of specialist companies over the last 20 years?

From our early beginnings as a family-run brickwork company back in 2005, we’ve evolved into Sheriff Construction (roofing), Sheriff Brickworks (masonry), Crestview Homes (property development) and McLains (estate agency/ property services). Sheriff Construction

With 14 years’ experience in this field, Sheriff Construction is now one of the leading installers of flat-roofing and waterproofing solutions across London and the South East.

Working with many of the UK’s major contractors and developers, our roofing division delivers projects across the residential, commercial, education and healthcare sectors. Over the years, we have built expertise across a wide range of roofing and waterproofing systems, supporting developments ranging from affordable housing to large-scale regeneration schemes.

Our work now includes specialist systems such as green roofs, blue roofs, hot melt waterproofing, liquid roofing and biodiversity roofing solutions, helping clients meet both performance and sustainability goals.

Sheriff Brickworks

While roofing is now the primary focus of Sheriff Construction, our roots remain firmly connected to brickwork and masonry.

Sheriff Brickworks was created as part of the company’s restructuring process in 2023, allowing us to provide a dedicated focus on delivering labour and material masonry packages across a range of major residential developments throughout London and the South East.

From traditional brick and blockwork through to complex façade packages, the business continues to grow and build on the reputation for workmanship and reliability that Sheriff was originally founded on back in 2005.

Crestview Homes

As the business evolved, we also expanded into property development, originally through another sister company, Limon Homes, but currently through Crestview Homes.

Crestview combines traditional values with forward-thinking sustainability practices, focusing primarily on brownfield regeneration and high-quality residential developments within a 60-mile radius of Central London.

This side of the business reflects our long-term approach to construction and property – not just delivering projects for clients, but also investing in developments that can have a lasting positive impact on local areas. Crestview Homes welcomes collaborations with landowners looking to explore partnership opportunities.

McLains Estate Agency

Alongside construction and development, the wider group also includes McLains – an estate agency and property management business based in Central Luton.

McLains supports landlords, tenants, buyers and sellers across the local property market, helping manage and maintain properties while providing professional guidance throughout the lettings and sales process. The company has a strong focus on new build developments and is committed to providing a personal approach to real estate that makes the process of finding a new home or investment as seamless as possible.

Having a business operating within the property management sector gives the wider group valuable insight into the long-term lifecycle of buildings and the importance of quality, maintenance and customer experience long after construction has been completed.

The next chapter

While our sister companies specialise in different areas of the property and construction sector and operate independently, they share the same commitment to quality, professionalism and long-term relationships that we’ve had since we launched that first business back in 2005.

As the company continues to grow, we’re also preparing for another milestone later this year, with Sheriff Construction, Sheriff Brickworks and Crestview all set to move into a new office space that is currently being fitted out.
