Sheriff Construction is supporting The Hill Group on the delivery of 413 high-quality, energy-efficient homes for housing provider Abri. Regenerating the former Sawyers Close estate, ‘The Granges’ will provide a mix of apartments and family homes, all of which will be affordable, helping to meet local housing needs while replacing outdated housing stock.
Valued at around £1.6m, this large-scale residential development has provided Sheriff with an excellent opportunity to deliver a comprehensive package of roofing and waterproofing solutions within a single scheme. The works incorporate a blue roof system on the podium areas together with several elements of the Axter waterproofing system, including Hot Melt, Reinforced Bitumen Membrane (RBM) warm roofing, cold roofing and green roof finishes. One of the more interesting aspects of the project has been the pitched roof valleys, delivered using a cold roofing system and adding a further technical dimension to the overall package.
While our team is experienced in installing each of these roofing systems individually, bringing them together on one development across 5303m² has made this an especially technically varied project, demonstrating our ability to deliver multiple roofing solutions within a single, coordinated package.
Works commenced in January 2026 and are expected to complete by the end of the year.
